Hotel reconstruction

During our reconstruction we will be building a restaurant, parking lot and an expansion of our accommodation area. We are also modernizing our fitness and wellness centre.

There is a large apple plantation behind the hotel which is going to help you enjoy the countryside atmosphere of the hotel, far away from the city rush.

The hotel capacity increase

Thanks to the ongoing hotel rebuilding, we plan to increase our actual capacity since July 2018.

Story of our hotel

Hotel Grunt was built three years ago thanks support from the European Union´s funds within the ROP Central Bohemia and was formerly a sports and holiday facility called Penzion Cosmos. In the year 2015 ownership changes were made and major reconstruction was started which has led to the uprating and modernization of the services provided.

The name of the hotel evolved from the very place the hotel is located. The entire facility is inspired by and conceived as old bohemian farm house with the goal of creating a unique calm atmosphere of countryside right in the middle of the city. There is a large apple plantation behind the hotel, which provides a wonderful view from most of the rooms and where the new summer terrace is located – ideal for spending some beautiful summer evenings.

The entire area has huge potential and our aim is to create from a small penzion a hotel which will satisfy the requirements of the most demanding guests. We want Hotel Grunt to become the destination where you will feel at home, comfortable and will always want to return.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SEASON OF THE APPLE PLANTATION

is probably during spring and summer months when the entire plantation blossoms and all kinds of scents from the fruit trees’ blend together. Most of them are obviously formed by apple trees of all kinds, colours and flavours. Thank to brand new summer terrace, which is located right at the front of the garden, you can enjoy the view of the plantation as well as the entire city.

THE PLANTATION IS A MAGICAL PLACE

during late summer and autumn, when other species of apples, plums and pear trees (which are planted here in smaller amounts) start to show their fall colours. All fruit produced there is harvested several times a year and is intended for sale.

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT OUR SUMMER TERRACE

cannot be used in the winter but in spite of that our guests are still able to enjoy the view of the snow-covered garden from the breakfast room where the bar is also located.

THANK TO SYSTEMATIC AND HONEST WORK

of Mr. Zdeněk Horecký, who takes care of it, the plantation is perfectly neat all year long. This apple plantation has literally become the dominating feature of our hotel and also that is why an apple has been chosen as the logo of the hotel.
